My sweetie and I made a day trip to SXSW yesterday. It was so much fun, but by the end we were exhausted and in pain. Thankfully, I was prepared.
I wore my favorite Forever21 denim shorts. They just fit perfectly, they aren’t too short or too low on the hips, and I’ve had them for 3 years now and they are wearing in so well. I picked this lightweight knit top from Zenana Outfitters over a nude bralette. Although it is technically a knit, this top is lighter than some of my tshirts. So it was perfect for keeping cool.
I wore my favorite black booties. These are from Apri’ Italian shoemakers. They are so comfortable and were just perfect for walking around all day through grass and spilled drinks and everything else. My bag was a gift from my grandmother from a few years ago,and at first I wasn’t a fan of the practical shape. But it has saved my life at so many functions like this that I love it now. It’s a dark chestnut leather with brass studs from Coldwater Creek. It is designed to fit close to your body and keep out pickpocketers, while still keeping your id and cash in easy access for you. I finished off the look with minimal jewelry and a side braid to keep it no fuss for the long day.

My feet were still killing me at the end of the day and the denim shorts were chaffing pretty badly, but when your on your feet walking, sweating, and dancing for 15 hours straight, there’s only so much you can do.
